The 3D mapping ability that Natal has is achieved by its ability to measure depth, it can do this because it has two cameras clearly visible at the front of the Natal device.We humans measure depth with our two eyes and some complex thought (Natal uses computing power). With one eye everything appears 3D much the same as a person in a photo but a humans ability to place objects in relation to its self is severely impaired. The PS eye, one camera = 2D images = 2D mapping. Hope this is cleared up!

@danmccue1992 What has that proven? The Playstation Eye isn't tracking anything but his head, which ANY camera can do. It needs two Move wands to track for his hand gestures. That is why the Move wands have big ballson the end, because that is what the Playstation Eye has to track. So where is the evidence that the PSEye can track a human body fully and accurately in 3D?

The Playstation Eye and the Eyetoy are essentially the same piece of technology. They're both cameras. The Playstation Eye has a better resolution and a multiarray mic, but it's still just a camera. Whichever way you want to put it, it is 100% not capable of the same things as Natal. It is impossibly for a 2D RGB camera to accurately track a human body in 3D and to claim that it can is just ridiculous.

The specs for both are freely available I suggest you go and read them. There is no way a simple camera can track the human body in 3D space accurately so stop pretending to yourself. I'm a fan of Natal, Xbox and generally Microsoft - but you are blind if you think this is real footage of the software. I'm not saying it isn't what it will be "like" - nor Milo and this certain software doesn't exist... BUT, its obvious the screen is fake. No screen glare/reflection - edges have no anti-alias, no glow, and sometimes not inline with the shape of the tv. I really do hope good things for this - but this video, and all I have seen from Microsoft - are completely staged.

This solution is nice for the smaller plants. But it seems more of a trend than an actual useful thing. For instance, it could be used to grow beans, tomatoes, strawberries and stuff like that, but how can a cabbage be grown? or maybe corn or pumpkins? There is one good advantage however, which is the better use of vertical space for growing small plants. But in the end, it's not small plants that feed a person, unless they're on a diet.

from what I know, hydroponic farming makes plants grow faster and healthier, that is if you supply the right amount of nutrients. Also it looks like they have automated the watering system, so no need to water. That can save you some time :)
